The Three, originally named “Schoonder Sigt” (“Beautiful View”), is deeply steeped in the history of South Africa. In the 1770's it was one of the most conspicuous large manor houses of Cape Town. It was owned and occupied by the Commandant of the Castle, General Robert J. Gordon, who discovered and mapped a good part of South Africa. Owners Justin and Natalia Pearson have lovingly restored The Three to the welcoming boutique hotel that it remains today.
The Three Boutique Hotel fills the gap between a too-homely guest house and an impersonal hotel; it's exactly the right balance of chic surroundings, 4-star facilities and friendly service. The Three is modern and sophisticated Cape Town hotel accommodation with an historic heart in a trendy part of Cape Town.
