TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Reservations Procedure:
All Reservations must be placed in writing with Lion Roars Central Reservations as follows:

2. Single Supplement:
A single supplement calculated at 30% applies at all lodges excluding The Three where a single rate applies. Please see rates included for The Three.

3. Rate Inclusions:
Singa, The Robberg, Franschhoek, Old Bank Hotel & The Three:
- accommodation, breakfast, in-room tea and coffee
Hlosi & Bukela:
- accommodation, all meals, selected local beverages and two game drives per day

4. Rate Exclusions:
Singa,The Robberg, Franschhoek, Old Bank Hotel & The Three:
- all drinks, transfers, telephone calls, laundry and any items of a personal nature
Hlosi & Bukela:
- excludes premium branded beverages, conservation levies, transfers, telephone calls, laundry and any items of personal nature

5. Check-In Time: 2pm (Town Lodges) & 1-2 pm (Hlosi & Bukela)

6. Check-Out Time: 10am (Town Lodges) & 11am (Hlosi & Bukela)

7. Group Bookings:
In the event of a reservation being made for 6 or more rooms for the same period at the same property, this will be classified as a group reservation for which separate terms apply.

8. Peak Season:
Peak Season validity is indicated at each lodge, where applicable, on the rate sheet
Minimum 2-night stay and room rate charge apply for single occupancy, except at the Old Bank Hotel where this is not applicable.

9. Provisional Bookings:
Provisional bookings are held for 14 Days only, over peak season it will be held for 7 Days only

10. Deposit/Payment Policy FIT:
30 Days prior to arrival: 100% Pre-payment
All bookings must be guaranteed with prepayment, a valid credit card or if the Tour Operator has an authorised account with Lion Roars, a voucher
20 December – 10 January: 20% deposit is required 14 days after the reservation is made to secure the booking.

11. Cancellation Policies: Cancellations are only accepted in writing

Current to 30 September 2023 (Standard) 

  • 29-15 days prior to arrival: 50%
  • 14-01 days prior to arrival: 80%
  • No Show: 100%
Cancellation Policy: HLOSI & BUKELA Current 30 September 2023 (Standard) 
  • 29-15 days prior to arrival: 25%
  • 14-03 days prior to arrival: 50% 
  • 48 hours prior 80% 
  • No Show: 100%

13. Lion Roars reserves the right to admit any guest/s and furthermore reserves the right to remove any guest/s whose behaviour impacts negatively on other guests and/or staff.

14. Lion Roars reserves the right to amend rates and terms without prior notice. E&OE
Rates are in South African Rand and include 15% VAT.

CARD PROCESSING

1. Detailed description of goods and/or services

Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges is a business in the hospitality & tourism industry that provides accommodation at a number of hotels & lodges in South Africa.

2. Delivery policy

Not applicable, Lion Roars does not deliver any physical goods. 

3. Export restriction 

The offering on this website is available to both South African and international clientele. 

4. Return and Refunds policy

The provision of goods and services by Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Lion Roars will refund the client in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a administration fee, outlined in our cancellation policy in point 11 above. This amount can change, depending on when the cancellation is made in relation to the booking dates. 

5. Customer Privacy policy

Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from: http://www.polity.org.za/attachment.php?aa_id=3569.

6. Payment options accepted

Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express Cards or by bank transfer into the Lion Roars bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.

7. Card acquiring and security

Card transactions will be acquired for Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. DPO PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

8. Customer details separate from card details

Customer details will be stored by Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges separately from card details which are entered by the client on DPO PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on DPO PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.

9. Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

10. Responsibility

Lion Roars takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

11. Country of domicile

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Lion Roars chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.

12. Variation

Lion Roars may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

13. Company information

This website is run by private company based in South Africa trading as Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges and with registration number 2004/024354/07 and directors.
